BLESSINGS AND ILL-WISHES IN TAJIK FAIRY TALES

Abstract

This article examines good and bad wishes as significant elements of speech behavior in Tajik folk tales. The study aims to identify their functional purpose, semantic content and structural characteristics, as well as to analyze their role in reflecting the cultural norms and mental guidelines of the Tajik ethnic group using linguistic means. The study of fairy tale material and its emotional coloring allows us to establish that these speech forms perform not only a communicative but also a value-semantic function: they contribute to the consolidation of moral principles in the plot of the fairy tale, the transmission of ideas about social justice, good and evil, honor and retribution. The purpose of this article is to identify, describe, and analyze the cultural and value-based content of good and evil wishes in Tajik folk tales. To achieve this goal, linguocultural and lexical-semantic analysis methods are used.
