Abstract

The article analyzes the relationship between repetition and structural parallelism in coordinate constructions within the Uzbek and Tajik languages. It examines the functional characteristics of repetition in the languages under comparison, including its role in organizing the core components of complex syntactic structures. A distinction is drawn between the concepts of repetition and parallelism, treating them as semantic-grammatical and stylistic categories. The role and significance of coordinate and subordinate connections in the realization of repetition are analyzed, as are instances where intermediate types of syntactic connection emerge. Based on the positioning of the connected components, a distinction is made between contact and distant coordinate connections. Repetition and syntactic parallelism are regarded as important syntactic-stylistic devices for structuring complex sentences, particularly in asyndetic constructions. It is emphasized that the use of repetition serves to reinforce the meaning of an utterance, enhance its expressiveness, and shape complex syntactic structures characterized by coordinate relationships.
