MAVLONO JALOLIDDIN BALKHI`S VIEWS ON POEMS AND POETRY

Avtors

Azizov S.S.

Abstract

The article analyzes the status and place of poetry and the opinions of the poets themselves, especially Mavlono Jaloliddin Rumi on the meaning and essence of poetry. It is noted that, despite the excessive love and commitment to poetry, the great mystic poets Sanoi Ghaznevi and Mavlono Balkhi considered poetry a shameful occupation and distanced themselves from the title of a poet. The article relates the negative attitude of the great mystic poets to poetry based on the well-known verses 224-227 of the sura "Poets" of the Holy Quran. Based on poets views like Sanoi, Nizami, Mavlono Balkhi, it is concluded that they, like the Koran, condemn panegyric poets who turn poetry into a means of praising and glorifying unworthy people.
