The article discusses the style of using sources in “Javami’ al-hiqayat”, as well as other specific style features, including the principles and parameters of use, respect for the reliability and authenticity of the main source, etc. Comparison of the stories with the original source shows that when presenting the story, Awfi violates the boundaries of his sources and in most cases chooses the style of reduction, in some cases replaces the story, and in other cases - only part of it or places it in other chapters of his work and, thus, has material of his choice. It is concluded that the basis of the original style is formed by Awfi also quoting from other sources, the use of appropriate verses, verses and hadiths at the beginning or at the end of the story.
