Avtors

Davlatbeki Khoja

Abstract

The article dwells on the history of the formation of Tajik linguistic ideas in dictionaries and later on in the philosophical triad of scholarly works. The author has tried to show this tradition in scholarly and descriptive lexicographic works of later centuries.

To this goal, linguistic ideas of many scholars of the X-XIX-th centuries like Abu Nasr Forabi, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, Nosir Khusrav, Nasir Uddin Tussi, Shams Qays Rozy, Muhammad Mahmud Omuli, Atoulloh Husayni, Khoja Hasan Nisori based on their works have been presented in the article. In addition, the author of the article shows the linguistic values of  linguistic comments in descriptive dictionaries such as Farhangi Jahongiri by Husayn Inju [XVII c.], Burhoni Qote’ by Muhammad Husayn Ibn Halaf At-Tabrezi [XVII c.], Farhangi Rashidi by Abdu Rashid Ibn Said Abdughafuri Tatavi [XVII c.], Haft Qulzum by Bodshoi Ghozi [XIX c.], Ghiyos ul-Lughot by Muhammad Ghiyosiddin [XIX c.] from the point of view of modern linguistics.  From the research of the author it becomes clear that in the process of the formation and development of Tajik linguistics and its traditions the contributions of such scholars as Abu Nasr Forabi, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, Nosir Khusrav, Shams Qays Rozy and Khoja Hasan Nisori is especially great. A great role has been played by Farhangi Jahongiri in the continuation and development of the tradition of grammatical comments in the Tajik language.
