Creation and Activities of New Types of Schools in Sughd Viloyat in the Period of Tajikistan Independence

Abstract

The article dwells on the issues concerned with creation and functioning of new types of schools in Sughd viloyat of Tajikistan Republic in the period of state independence. It is stated that an acquisition of independence was followed by the changes in the frameworks of general secondary education. There appeared new schools of both statal-private and non-statal types (gymnasia, lyceums, presidential schools, schools for gifted children and etc.). The author adduces the data about the system of general secondary education in the republic, institutions oriented on the children with highly qualitative demands started to be functioning providing the education of elevated standard. The author reveals the peculiarities of functioning referring to non-statal schools of the new type in Sughd viloyat, he analyzes the data appertaining to tuition standard, provision of schools with classroom space, computer technique, pedagogical staff, educational literature. The author lays a special emphasis on measures bound to be targeted at a perfection of basic streamlines, forms, qualitative and quantitative indices in educational activities effectuated by the new types of schools.
