The article dwells on the military art of the Tajiks of the medieval period, described in the treatise of Sharif Muhammad Mansur Mubarak Shah "Adab-ul-harb-wa-sh-shujaat". The information of Fakhriddin Mubarak Shah is analyzed in comparison with other medieval sources and modern research. Fakhriddin Mubarak Shah was an expert in the art of war, and the value of his treatise is recognized by scholars. The book consists of 34 chapters, and almost all the chapters are devoted to the history of military science, military art and weapons. Mubarak Shah gave detailed information about the military art, about the correct order of the army, about choosing a place for the army, about sending spies before the start of the war, about friendship and unity of warriors, etc. Also in the work of Muborakshah the military art and history of the confrontation between the Ghurids and the Seljuks are covered in detail. The work of Fakhriddin Mubarak Shah on the military art of Maverannahr and Khorasan has a special scientific significance, since its study helps to illuminate the newly discovered pages of the medieval military history of the Tajiks.
