The article presents an analysis of the ways of building perfect forms of the verb in Tajik and Yagnobian languages. It is underscored that the given problem has not been an object of a separate research up to nowadays. The author conducts an analysis of the forms of simple narrative verb in the Past Tense, Simple Past of the verb in the indicative mood, Simple Past Perfect of the verb; the forms of the verb in the Past Continuous Tense in the languages mentioned. Their structural peculiarities in comparative aspect are elicited. The analysis shows that the potentialities of perfect verb forms usage in the Tajik language are much broader than in the Yagnobian language and the definite perfect form of the verb doesn`t occur in Yaghnobian. The rest forms of the verb in the analyzed languages differ from one another with certain specific peculiarities.
