The article dwells on a synchronous-confrontational study beset with certain terms of kinship between Uzbek and English languages. The main goal is to identify and define the confrontational similarities and differences in the lexical and expressive means of the content plan of some terms of kinship between the correlative languages. Separate kinship terms of the compared languages are resorted to as illustrative material in the given article. The terms of kinship, in which there is an asymmetry (asymmetry) between the planes of expression and content, constitute a kind of subsystem (aggregate) that serves as illustrative material. It is concluded that proceeding from a comparison of the expressive means of certain terms of kinship between the Uzbek and English languages, the author determines the confrontational nature of these phenomena, which are characteristic of the relevant languages. The importance of studying dealing with terms of kinship in different-structured languages is especially emphasized.
