The theme of the discussion dwells on Aburayhon's Beruni's information about Iranian people's cosmonymy. The authors canvass Beruni's data concerning planets' titles, lunar homes (settlements), zodiacal constellations, stars of Southern and Northern hemispheres. Persians, Sughdians and Khorezmian titles of these and other heavenly bodies have been studied. It is asserted that Beruni's information on the issue in question testifies to linguistic, religious and cultural identity of Persians, Sughdians and Khorezmians; it is proved also that Biruni was a genuine polyglot. It is indicated that some of Sughdian and Khorezmian cosmonyms preserved in the Tajik language. The opinion is expressed that Beruni's data about the cosmonymy of Sughdians and Khorezmians were unique even in his epoch of activities.
