The article under consideration dwells on the peculiarities of word-building by means of suffix-goh in «Tarjumai «Tafsiri Tabari»‚ in particular. It is marked that word-building is one of the popular ways of enriching the basic stock of words of the language. The author of the article lays an emphasis upon the fact that affixes play a great role in the formation of new words with different shades of meaning.
As the author deems‚ suffix -goh is considered as one of the frequently used ones in the formation of new words. The suffix under study as an independent word conveys the following meanings: place‚ spot‚ throne‚ palace‚ time in the classic literary productions‚ inclusive.
In a nutshell‚ the author comes to the conclusion that suffix-goh in the processes of word-building is of certain distinction in Modern Tajik literary language.
