Proceeding from the examples of terms of the Penal Code of Tajikistan Republic, the author canvasses lexico-semantic peculiarities of juridical terms of Modern Tajik. As the Penal Code of Tajikistan Republic as one of the principal legislative documents is of an especial importance in the definition of linguo-juridical specifities of branch terms of the Tajik language, the author, designing on the premise of correlation between the juridical terms of the Soviet time and those ones of Modern Tajik, comes to the conclusion that the terms of the branch studied acquired more laconic, semantic, practical and peculiar shades thus determining the development of the language.
