Proceeding from the traditions of Tajik literary criticism the author of the article proves that Mirzolatif Rakhim-zade is a successor of the great classics of the Persian-Tajik literature. He created multitude of poems imitating the genre of a gazel developed by Khofiz Sherozi, Kamoli Khujandi, Abdurakhmon Jami, Bedil, Khodja Khusayni Kangurti, Zafarkhon Javkhari.
