Nodira-begim as a Representative of Kokand School Poetry and a State Votary

Abstract

The article  dwells on the main moments of poetess Nodira`s life and creation. She became famous for literary activities writing in Tajik  and Uzbek languages. Her poems were distinquished with tuneful melodies suitable for singing. Nodira was one of the  outstanding representatives of enlightenment; the central themes of  her creation were  humanism, love, justice. As the mother of the Kokand governor she played a weighty role in political life. Her  name is associated with construction  of  mosques, medreses, covered  markets in Kokand. At the beginning of the  XIX-th century Nodira played a significant role  in the politico-social life of the state  as a state  votary and a repressentative of  enlightenment.
