In his article the author singles out 2 (two) components of an innovational development of education economics: scientific potential (the mewest technologies and technique); intellectual potential (ability to engraft innovations in practice at all phases of reproductive process, economics of education inclusive). The author grouped the definitions of “innovation” notions existing in science into 3 (three) items: the first group – innovation being considered as something new (innovation or novelty; the second group considers innovation as a process of creation of new produce or technology.
The third group characterizes innovation as a process of engrafting new approaches and elements greatly differing from the previous ones into manufacturing. The author offers his own definition of this process as an innovation in the realms of technique, technology, organization of labour or production management (economic activity, business) based on utilization of everything new in science and technique.
