The Role of Nation Leader in the Development of Tajikistan Economy

Abstract

The article presents a brief analysis of the role of Tajikistan Republic President Emomali Rakhmon elected a head of the government at the XVI-th session of Tajikistan Republic Supreme Council in the events, fateful for the country, which took place in the years of state independence. The author adduces grave arguments to show Emomali Rakhmon’s unprecedented contribution into the signing of the Agreement on the following items: establishment of peace and national concord; reinstatement of legitimate authorities and bodies of governance after the civil war; creation of the National army; attainment of electric power and food stuffs independence; building of autoroads, Istiklol, Ozodi and Shakhristan tunnels; way out of communicative impasse. Special attention is paid to President’s efforts concerned with the construction of Rogun hydro-electric powerstation.
