SPECIFICITY OF COMMUNICATION STRATEGY IN CREATING TAJIKISTAN'S IMAGE IN THE RUSSIANS’ EYES

Abstract

The image of Tajikistan in the public consciousness of Russians is formed according to a stereotypical principle: the image of a migrant worker, employed on a temporary basis for a job with low qualifications. However, the specifics of the geopolitical situation dictate the need to cover the problems of labor migration, so for Russia today this is relevant, as it is the adaptation of labor migrants. Citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are represented on the Russian labor market, and it is important to form a positive image of a labor migrant. It is not just the practical aspects of forming Tajikistan's image in the eyes of Russians that are important, but also the development of a new communication strategy. In the study of migration problems, the author relies on empirical data prepared by the Public Chamber of the Chelyabinsk Region. The Chelyabinsk region was not chosen by chance: it is an industrial region, where both the waves of migration and the formation of Tajikistan’s image are clearly visible.
