The article examines the problem of the formation and development of state youth policy during the period of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan (32 years). The unique role and constant concern of the President of Tajikistan to promote the goals and objectives of education and upbringing of the younger generation, providing economic, social, political and cultural conditions for youth by creating legal, moral, educational, scientific and social foundations for supporting the younger generation has been studied. An analysis of laws and government programs in the area under study is given, measures are named to deepen the general knowledge and scientific knowledge of young people, to master specialties, professions, crafts by young people and ensure their productive employment. The activities of young people in various sectors of the functioning of the state and society, including the development of sports, are shown, and the victories of young athletes in international competitions are presented.
