The article dwells on the study of lexicology and its reflection in the collection of compositions referring to the second half of the 20th century. The main core of the analysis is Kumri Tohirova`s bookentitled as “Vocabulary of Modern Tajik Literary Language”, as it is considered the first study in the field of modern Tajik lexicology. The authors of the article make an endeavor to canvass the book in question with other works similar in the content, such as “Essays on some Issues Concerned with Vocabulary of Modern Tajik Literary Language” by M.Muhammadiev, books written in co-authorship called as “Modern Tajik Literary Language”, “Modern Tajik Language. Vocabulary” and “From the History ofTajik Language Vocabulary” by T.Zekhni and then shown their importance and significance in the consideration of lexicological issues. To sum it up, the authors of the article come to the conclusion that the analyzed linguistic production, despite some differenceshas the same scientific level. OnlyK.Tohirova`s contribution into this area has an advantage, since her linguistic production as the first manual is considered to be as an engine for the edition of subsequent books.
