Abstract

The article dwells on the semantic aspects of hyperonyms in comparison with the semantic aspect of equonymes where their hyperonyms convey the meaning of two or more self-sufficient words functioning as equonymes in relation to a respective (definite) hyperonym. It is marked that zoonyms designate semantic relations of hierarchical meanings expressed by different terms which realize the function of a stage-by-stage connected opposition in written text and oral speech. There is established the role of systemic semantic relations in the formation of the structure of the equonymition of zoonym with the common meaning “BHC – big horned cattle” in Russian and Uzbek languages in comparative aspect; the author adduces also some nominations of cattle (молкорова - cow) which are widely used in the composition of Russian and Uzbek proverbs, sayings and aphorisms.
