The article dwells on an exploration of one of the most important strategic goals of Tajik economy – way out from communicational impasse and transformation of the republic into a transit country. The author of the article has done a comparative analysis of the problems of building and repair of roads in different periods of state independence of Tajikistan, especially in the periods after the civil war of 1992-1997 and that one of 2013-2020. Proceeding from various origins and works, he has analyzed the problems of engrafting and realization of the projects on reconstruction of autoroads, allotment of grants for building and reconstruction of roads, bridges, tunnels, utilization of grant stocks for repair and service of roads, contribution of local entrepreneurs, social circles and patrons into the cause of repair and reconstruction of roads.
