Historic Sources as A Mirror of Ancestors` Life

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of written sources and historical works dwelling on the history of Bukhara emirate referring to the period of the XVIII-th – the first half of the XIX-th centuries. The history of Bukhara emirate attracted the attention of Russian and Western explorers – historians and Orientalists; travellers and state votaries of different levels appertaining to this category as well. The author of the article has analyzed scientifically the works of the scholars devoted to the history of Bukhara. Among them we find the names of Florio Benevini, Philippe Yefremov, T.S. Burnashev, E.A. Eversman, Ye.K. Meyendorf, A. Borns, P.I. Demezonov, I.V. Vitkevich, P. Savelyev, K. Butenev, P.I. Nebolsin, A.I. Gluhovsky, A. Vamberi, Khanykov et alia. The author of the aricle discloses a contribution of the researchers into the studies of nature, social-political atmosphere, economical and cultural life of Bukhara emirate.
