“Ekhyonoma” as a Message on Nation`s Revival

Abstract

The article is an analysis of the remarkable historical poem “Ehhyoonoma” (“Renaissance”) written by the people`s poet of Tajikistan Goib Khaknazar. The poem is devoted to the heroic struggle of the  Tajik people against Mongolian invaders, it is guided by Timurmalik. Special attention is paid by the poet to the characters of the literary  production, especially to its protagonist Timurmalik. The poet stresses Timurmalik`s close ties with common people who defended Khujand from enemies. The author of the  article notes that the poem is distinguished with clarity of style, high degree of imaginativeness, lapidation of descriptions. The researcher lays an emphasis on the hero`s spiritual  victory whose struggle for the liberation  of the motherland is continued by the descendants. The protagonist`s image is analyzed in details, essence and  content of the poem are formulated, the place of the poem is determined both in the poet`s creation and in modern Tajik poetry. The author elicited imaginative peculiarities and characterized language and style of the poem.
